Someday you might think of taking off from a regular job. You can work at home as a freelancer if you have a skill on the computer. Why spend commuting time every day. The weather won’t affect you at all when you work at home to make money online.

You might spend the entire day in sweat pants and sweatshirt. Pour your second cup of coffee and relax behind your computer. Work at your own pace.

Your own computer workstation furniture and your computer is your new location for work. Try freelancing. If you can code html and css, you can find freelance jobs for that. Combine it with web design skills and you earn decent money.

Perhaps you have a talent for writing. You are not Margaret Mitchell, who wrote Gone With The Wind, but you can produce interesting articles. Brush up on grammar and punctuation and go for it.

Online, you might write an article about citrus fruit on one day and a deluxe corner computer workstation on the next. Work steadily and you might even be able to afford a new computer soon.

One day you might work for three hours and make up for it the next by doing nine. Sometimes a friend will call you to go out for lunch. What a luxury to get dressed by noon instead of for work at eight.

Enjoy a soup and sandwich lunch with a good friend while you talk over old times. Find out what she or he has been doing. But, don’t overdo it by going out every day. After all, you wanted to quit a regular job so you could stay at home.

When you start to work the next morning, plan to put in a full day. Line up some articles to write. Design a website if that is what your skill is. There are a dozen different jobs available to freelancers.

Find a freelancing job site where you can put all your skills to good use. Some offer full-time work and even offer insurance. If you have a degree in journalism or even without, you can write newspaper quality articles for them. Or you can find another site offering steady work.

You may be better off working for one site and having steady work. You can build up speed and earn more by doing this. Otherwise you must spend more time than necessary looking for work. Searching for a short project over and over takes time away from the actual work. Earn more money by working steadily.

You do need a certain amount of self-discipline to work at home. You might be tempted to do other things if the opportunity comes up. Be structured and make yourself do a required amount of writing each day, if that is your talent.
