I am sure most of us have noticed, at some time, the little cardboard signs, attached to road signs or street lamps, presenting the chance to earn high wages in our spare time. They are often hand-written, telling of huge amounts which can be earned in a few hours, and give a phone number to call if you want to get involved. If the claims made are correct, then these must be some of the Best Paid Careers going.
Surely, it has to be considered, if these roles were as profitable as they are made out, then they would not be published on little cardboard signs with nothing more than a telephone number for calling. These would be Careers In Demand, with many individuals fighting for the chance to work for them. They would be trying for the best possible recruits and would be ready to pay for this advertising to be certain they got them.
It could be these are Work From Home opportunities, whereby it is the duty of the individual doing the work to purchase certain items from the company offering the massive sums, at over-inflated prices, to sell on.
Then there are the roles where one recruit gets other individuals to join the company, being paid in actual fact for recruiting people into the scam – there is actually no job at all just money for everybody you recruit who then pays to learn how to make this fantastic money and discovers all they are required to do is get others to part with money. Never part with money unless you know exactly what you are paying for and that it is worth the outlay.
Maybe they ask those looking to be part of these Best Paid Careers to part with a large amount of money to undertake training which may mean that it will be some considerable time before these recruits see any profit. If you are making a payment for training, be sure that it is training that will be useful to you in your future career path. Pay for nothing until you are positive of what the bonus to you will be.
Because all we have is a phone number, often a mobile phone number at that, it would be very complicated to track down the company if there was any cause for concern in the future and it would be hard for trading standards or other governing bodies to put a stop to their practice. In order to disappear, they would just need to stop using their mobile phone and they are gone.
Most of us know the saying “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true” and therefore we should not see these as Careers In Demand, but more as scams to steer clear of. There are honest Work From Home opportunities which can give good return for investment, and these companies will not be shy of letting you know who they are, where their registered office is, what costs are involved and what return you can realistically achieve. If you want to earn extra cash, these would be a much safer choice than anything you may see displayed by the side of the road.
